    • Quality Management is one of the core major courses in industrial engineering which deals with problems in quality category. By learning it we can systematically study the concepts and theories of quality, and the techniques of quality management. The course lays the foundation of students’ later learning, researching and working in the fields of quality management, quality control and reliability. During the training industrial engineers, it plays an important role in enhancing students’ comprehensive analysis and problem solving ability in quality management, manufacturing and service industry.
    • Course Syllabus:
    • After completing the course, students should:
The course aimed at training students’ capability of mastering the basic quality management theories, methods, techniques and developing comprehensive analytical and problem solving ability in quality management, manufacturing and service industry. Specifics are as follows:
      1. Know the development history of quality management as well as the importance of it and the role it plays in modern social economics.
      2. Further master the theoretical knowledge of quality management along with methods of quality management and quality control.
      3. Skillfully apply quality management tools and techniques, especially computer aided quality management software, thus develop operation ability.
      4. Deeply understand the contents of quality management and quality control. Apply it to practical use and learn how to find out and improve the factors which impact quality, thereby developing abilities in analyzing and resolving practical problems.
