    • Course Description:
    • ( Exchange Programme )
    • This course is an introduction to the principles and the applications of Operations Research (OR) — a discipline regarded as “The science of better”, and its roles in human decision-making. In particular, the course focuses on OR techniques such as Linear Programming (the Simplex Method, Duality Theory and Sensitivity Analysis), Network Optimization (Transportation and Assignment problems), and Queuing Theory, Decision Analysis and Business Simulation, as well as their applications in practical problem-solving. It also emphasizes the essential role that standard mathematical tools and computers play in the analysis and solutions of practical problems when OR techniques are applied
    • Course Syllabus:
    • After completing the course, students should:
1.Master the modeling approach to analyze a business/management problem
2.Understand basic process and idea of classic algorithms and models
3.Familiar with how to handle stochastic process in queuing systems
4.Familiar with basic decision theories and decision tree analysis.
