    • Geography of Transport Systems, concerned with movements of freight, people and information, tries to link spatial constraints and attributes with the origin, the destination, the extent, the nature and the purpose of movements. Mobility is fundamental to economic and social activities, including commuting, manufacturing or supplying energy. Transport systems composed of infrastructures, modes and terminals are so embedded in the socio-economic life of individuals, institutions and corporations that they are often invisible to the consumer. The main purpose of this course is to understand how mobility is linked with geography. It covers various topics, concepts and case studies related with transport geography, including networks, modes and terminals, international transportation, urban transportation and environmental impacts.
